Environmental Leadership Canada (ELC), registered charitable # 762079549 RR 0001, aims to build a new generation of environmental leaders and boost the capacity of everyday Canadians to advocate for their communities and work towards a more sustainable future for all.

ELC was launched in 2023 with support from our sister organization, GreenPAC, a non-partisan, non-profit that works to build environmental leadership in politics. Our mission at ELC is to empower individuals with knowledge about environmental politics. We believe that people need to know how politics works, so they can make politics work for the planet. Our efforts are dedicated to building a new generation of environmental leaders and increasing the capacity of everyday Canadians to engage in our democracy. Our programs include the Parliamentary Internship for the Environment, the Municipal Climate Internship, Every Day Advocates, and 100 Debates on the Environment (programs founded by and transferred from GreenPAC, which remains a partner in their delivery). Our work is national in scope and significantly, but not exclusively, focused on federal-level politics.
