Organic gardens / Healing farm

Needed: Organic farm/garden help and Childcare
Type: 20 hours of help per week in exchange for rent and land access (see below). Not a paid position.

Housing: option of a room in the house or a bunkie (private cabin) on the land

I am currently building a women's healing farm on 9 beautiful acres of land near the Saugeen river in Durham, Ontario.

I primarily need help on my farm with childcare (I have 2 daughters – 1 year and 6 years old), keeping the house, managing the organic garden, and helping with programming for various women's retreats on the land.

I live in a beautiful tidy house and there is the option of a room in the house or a bunkie (private cabin) on the land. I have a beautiful big kitchen, home, and go swimming often in the nearby river. The town is a 30 minute walk from home (or my bicycle can be used).

The first program for women will be run on my land this summer. I will be growing a large organic garden for 15 moms and their families who will come together to spend time connecting with land, doing yoga, learning handcrafts, and much more.

I used to run a large organic farm called Zócalo Organics, and I have trained many organic farmers at my previous farm. I am also able to share these skills with anyone who is on the land.

I ask for 20 hours of help per week in exchange for rent and land access (you may also grow in the garden or keep animals on the land). I am trained in Sustainable Agriculture, Kripalu Yoga, Reiki, Yoga Nidra, and am also a singer-songwriter. I use these skills to create unique experiences for women to gather together on land.
