Fair Finance Fund is a social finance lender dedicated to strengthening Ontario’s local food and farm sector. Through accessible, impact-driven financing, we provide food and farm enterprises with the capital they need to grow, innovate, and contribute to a more resilient food system.

Fair Finance Fund is seeking two passionate and knowledgeable individuals to join our Board of Directors. We are looking for candidates with experience in sustainable agriculture, food systems, social finance, or community economic development to help guide the strategic direction of our organization.

The Board meets once a month, with some preparatory work and email communication between meetings, for a total commitment of approximately 2-3 hours per month. Board members have the additional opportunity to engage in external committees and other aspects of the Fair Finance Fund’s work if they have the time and interest. Board meetings are virtual, with occasional in-person gatherings.

We are particularly interested in applicants who share our commitment to equitable access to capital for local food and farm enterprises and who bring diverse perspectives to our Board. We strongly encourage applications from individuals who belong to equity-deserving groups and welcome self-identification in applications.
