Position: Copywriter (part-time)
Organization: Green Party of Canada
Location: This is a fully remote position, open to individuals located in Canada and legally permitted to work here

Politics moves fast. Your primary role is to turn what's happening into fundraising emails that people actually want to read, that help them understand what's at stake, and that give them a clear reason to support the Green Party of Canada.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, this role is a permanent, part-time (20 hours per week) unionized position with benefits.

What you'll do

• Write 2 - 3 fundraising emails per week
• Connect current events, Green values and party policy to why financial support matters now
• Understand and consistently maintain the Green Party of Canada’s brand voice
• Write or edit other communications products as needed

• You write clearly and persuasively, without jargon or filler
• You love crafting compelling stories and understand how to turn them into effective fundraising appeals
• You follow Canadian federal politics and can write about current events with insight
• You know what plain language is and why it matters
• You take feedback well and turn edits around quickly
• You manage your time effectively and meet deadlines

Requirements

• Proven writing ability – your portfolio is critical
• English fluency
• Alignment with Green Party values

Stand out skills and knowledge

• French fluency
• A genuine interest in federal politics
• A strong background in fundraising and advocacy
• Comfortable using Asana and Google workspace

• 20 hours per week, permanent unionized position with benefits
• Flexible working hours, but attendance at weekly team meetings is expected
• This is a remote position, open to individuals located in Canada and legally permitted to work here
• Compensation: ~$29,670/year
