Hiring: Records and Information Management Student
Type: age 30 & under / summer
Organization: Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority
Location: Oshawa, Ontario
Dates: April 28th, 2025 to August 29th, 2025 (18 Weeks)

SUMMARY:

The Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority (CLOCA) is seeking to fill the position of Records and Information Management Student.

Wage Rate per Hour: $17.20 per hour
Hours per Week: 35

Under direct supervision of the Information Management and Technology Manager, implements and populates content into the CACore Content Management System and MS Teams platform. The position provides support and maintenance for the Authority’s business applications. The position is responsible for implementation, testing, and client training activities. The Records & Information Management - Student provides CACore application support for the Authority’s shared service agreements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Populating and configuring the CACore Content Management System.
  2. Migrating content from MS SharePoint and Teams to the CACore Content Management System.
  3. Provides user support, training, and technical communication to multiple audiences.

  1. The ideal candidate will be pursuing an undergraduate degree or college diploma with an emphasis on records management.
  2. The successful applicant will have an understanding of content management systems, records classification, and retention.
  3. Minimum of one-year work experience and possess a solid working knowledge of specialized software applications, tools, and other technologies including Office Suite of Products (MS Excel, MS Teams).

To be eligible, individuals must 1) be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment; 2) have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year; 3) be a Canadian citizen/permanent resident; 4) be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.
