  • Welcoming attendees, preparing and serving food and beverages
  • Washing dishes and cleaning post-event
  • Managing Toronto Plant Market social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Eventbrite)
  • Developing social media posts and promotional materials
  • Responding to Direct Messages and client inquiries via social media and email

Qualifications:

  • Passion for native plants, sustainability, and community engagement
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with the team in a dynamic, hands-on environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in retail management, event coordination, or hospitality
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Eventbrite)
  • Previous experience with point of sale systems and inventory management is a plus
  • Food handling and event hosting experience is an asset
  • A valid G-class license and clean driving record is an asset.

Additional Details:

  • This is a flexible position. We can hire for one role or both, depending on the right candidate’s skills and interests.
  • The role could be a full-time opportunity if you’re interested in handling both retail and event responsibilities, or a part-time role if you prefer focusing on one area.
  • You’ll have the chance to grow with the company, with the potential for higher pay and more responsibility based on performance.
