Farm: Hoppy Fields Farm
Location: just outside of Fergus, near Guelph, Ontario

Hoppy Fields Farm is a small, organic vegetable farm. We produce fruits and veggies for our CSA program, 2 farmers markets, and local restaurant sales. We also keep a small flock of laying hens, and grow chicken, turkey, duck, and lamb for meat. We have one heated greenhouse that we use as our nursery in the spring, and two large unheated greenhouses and 4 caterpillar tunnels that we use to grow different crops through the season.

Diversified market gardening is highly skilled work, and applicants will ideally have prior experience with working on small, mixed farms. Our work is highly physical and mentally demanding, working long hours outdoors in all kinds of weather.

We are looking for 2-3 individuals to help with all aspects of daily farm work, full time from April/May-late October/early November.

Work hours are typically 8-4 Monday-Friday but we are fairly flexible.

$18-$20/hr plus free veggies and eggs (if we have extras)

Daily work includes:

• planting, weeding, harvesting, washing/packing crops
• greenhouse and tunnel work
• poultry chores
• organizing for weekly CSA deliveries/pick up
• possibly working with tractors/equipment (if you're comfortable with this)
