Location: Surrey, Metro Vancouver BC

About Kingfisher Farm Market

We are a small farm in South Surrey BC sustainably growing vegetables and flowers. We run a weekly on-site farm market, do roadside sales as well as farmer’s boxes and restaurant sales. We cultivate about an acre of vegetables. We have a small crew of about 7 of us at the height of the season.

Farm Assistants

The successful applicant for this position would be involved in a huge variety of aspects of vegetable production and would ideally come with previous farming experience as we hit the ground running.

• March (or April) - November 2025
• Monday - Friday
• 40 hrs/week
• $19-22/hour depending on experience

Tasks include:

• Field tasks of weeding, planting, harvesting
• Farm tasks of washing harvest bins, clean up from previous market day
• Engagement with market customers about vegetables and seasonal eating
• General farm tasks as needed

Desired Qualities:

• Hard worker
• Able to work independently after given appropriate instructions
• Able to stick with repetitive tasks, looking for ways to improve efficiency as competency is gained
• Positive attitude
• Attention to detail and maintaining quality standards
• Ability to increase pace of skills as the season goes
• Some experience vegetable farming
