Hiring: Middle School Teachers
School: Wildwood Independent School
Location: Sunshine Coast / Roberts Creek, BC

Start Date: September 2025

Positions Available: Full-Time & Part-Time Teaching Roles (All Subject Areas including Math, Science, Second Language, Humanities, Education Assistant and Administrator)

Wildwood Independent School is excited to announce its inaugural year as a BC Certified Independent School (currently in process of ceritfication application), offering place-based, outdoor-focused education for Grades 6-8, with plans to expand to Grades 8-9. We are seeking passionate, innovative, and adaptable educators who are eager to help shape a student-centered, experiential learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, BC Curriculum-aligned instruction in your subject area(s).
  • Could be a part time single subject role or could be full time with students teaching multiple subjects.
  • Incorporate experiential, place-based, and outdoor learning into lessons.
  • Foster a student-centered, inquiry-based learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with a small, dynamic team of educators to develop innovative programming.
  • Participate in outdoor leadership experiences, field studies, and hands-on projects.
  • Support students in developing academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Assist in shaping and growing Wildwood’s founding school culture.

Qualifications & Experience

  • BC Teacher Certification required.
  • Passion for integrated, cross-curricular learning approaches.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a start-up school environment.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • A love for working with middle and junior high school students!
