Hiring: Farm Technician
Farm: Goldfarm Canada 
Location: Guelph, Ontario

Goldfarm Canada is a family-run microgreens business. We operate an indoor vertical farm year-round and also grow edible flowers seasonally outdoors. Our primary clients are restaurants and other businesses in the culinary industry. Microgreens are grown and harvested each week so that clients receive the freshest possible product. We are currently seeking a passionate, positive, and hardworking full-time Farm Technician to assist with labour around the farm. The hours are somewhat flexible as long as tasks get done according to the weekly schedule, with a minimum of 37.5 hours/week guaranteed. Start date will be early April. 

Tasks include:

• Washing & sanitizing trays
• Cleaning the work space, tools, and equipment
• Planting seeds
• Harvesting, packaging & labelling product
• Daily watering
• Capturing processes/procedures
• Receiving and storing materials
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must live in Guelph, ON or less than 30 minute commute
• Preferred candidates will have previous experience in horticulture and/or agriculture
• Experience growing microgreens or sprouts is a significant asset
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently around the farm
• Analytical and problem solving skills, as well as excellent attention to detail

• Reliable means of getting to the site (north end of Guelph)
• Food Handler's license is considered an asset, as well as First Aid training
• Able to lift & carry 40-60 pounds regularly
