The Atmospheric Fund (TAF) is hiring two senior leaders to continue driving climate solutions across the GTHA

TAF is a regional climate agency that invests in low-carbon solutions for the GTHA and helps scale them for broad implementation. We work through impact investing, policy advocacy, grantmaking, and program delivery—and we’re committed to approaches that are equitable, innovative, and grounded in systems thinking. TAF is a member of the Low Carbon Cities Canada (LC3) network.

Current openings:

Director, Clean Transportation

Lead the transition to net-zero mobility across the GTHA. This role oversees a portfolio that includes EV infrastructure, sustainable transportation programs, stakeholder and policy engagement, and strategic partnerships. We’re looking for someone with deep knowledge of transportation decarbonization, strong cross-sector relationships, and a track record of leading complex initiatives.

Director, Clean Electrification

Guide TAF’s efforts to accelerate clean, distributed, and efficient energy systems. This role focuses on enabling building and mobility electrification, advancing local renewables, and supporting policy and regulatory modernization. We're looking for a strategic thinker with expertise in energy systems, utility transformation, and the drive to turn ideas into action.

Qualifications

  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g., public policy, environmental studies, business administration) or equivalent experience
  • At least seven years of progressive experience leading complex projects and managing teams
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategies that drive measurable impact
  • Expertise in sustainability, climate action, and emerging technologies relevant to transportation or energy systems
  • Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, program management, and communication
  • Experience working with government agencies, community organizations, utilities, and industry partners is an asset

What we offer

  • Salary: $134,000–$140,000 plus excellent benefits
