About the CFC

The Concordia Food Coalition (CFC) is a non-profit organization and a fee-levy group operating at Concordia University. The CFC brings together students, faculty, staff, and community members to co-create campus-community food sovereignty. We collaborate to educate, innovate and incubate vibrant, sustainable, accessible and democratic local food systems. We aim to democratize the campus food system by moving away from corporate models while organizing towards student-led change.

About the Work Culture

This position will play a pivotal role in the leadership team of the CFC and will shape the future of our work. We believe in investing in strong leaders who can grow with us, and this role offers opportunities to lead and innovate right from the start.

This position has fundamental qualifications & skill requirements, but we appreciate and enthusiastically support honesty regarding your current skills and knowledge, as well as your propensity and inclination toward growth in key areas of the job duties. This posting has a wage range and weekly time commitment based on a fixed labour budget, but depending on the hiree’s current skills and expertise, during the hiring process, we may collaboratively determine how best to invest the labour budget between wage/hours and paid training or other development opportunities.

Equity, accessibility, and inclusion are core values of our team, and we actively seek to ensure that our positions are accessible to all qualified candidates.

About the Wage

The wage range and weekly time commitment outlined are based on a fixed labour budget. During the training and probationary period, the role offers an hourly wage from $26-$28 per hour, depending on your expertise and ability to ramp up quickly. This allows us to adapt the time commitment and compensation to your needs and experience, ensuring success in transition to a salaried role. The salary for the first year is set, but with demonstrated success, entrepreneurial drive, and fundraising results, there is significant potential for growth in both compensation and impact.

About the Benefits

  • Flexible work schedule and location (some remote work possible)
  • 6 weeks paid time off per year (vacation, personal and health leave)
