We are a productive market garden operating on 2 acres looking to hire a farm hand for the 2025 season. We mainly produce greens and tomatoes to grocery stores and restaurants, as well as other mixed vegetables for our farm stand and a CSA program.

We operate on two properties in Saanich on Vancouver island, one at our home site and another leased property. Both sites are just 30 mins from downtown Victoria and Sidney and are surrounded by forest and adjacent to wetlands.

Our farm is regenerative (non-certified organic), with a big focus on high value crops and bio-intensive/high productivity, which means a lot of bed flipping, washing greens and produce, and bagging. We also have four unheated greenhouses where we grow high production tomatoes. We use organic fertilisers and compost and are starting to integrate cover crops as we expand.

We are looking for a hard working, team player who is motivated to learn and willing to switch up jobs which includes working in the field, weeding, washing veggies and bagging produce. Drivers licence and vehicle required. Previous farm experience is an asset, but not necessary, since we will provide all training.

We work hard but also like to have fun listening to music and going for dips in nearby lakes after work.

This is a full time, seasonal position from March until November.

30 - 40 hours per week

$19 per hour. Perks include a CSA box/week, a fun work environment, and the occasional pizza lunch.
