Hiring: Director of Bike Education

Do you have a passion for education and cycling? Are you excited to manage one of Canada's largest cycling education programs? HUB Cycling is seeking a Director of Bike Education to oversee a range of cycling education programs throughout BC. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work with funders and partners to grow and adapt HUB Cycling’s education programs and lead a team of dedicated program managers, coordinators and instructors in their program delivery.

About HUB Cycling’s Bike Education Programs
HUB Cycling delivers bike education programs to thousands of youth and adults across British Columbia each year. Our courses are customized for various ages and skill levels and are delivered by our team of trained instructors and delivery partners at schools, community centers, and workplaces. Participants build the skills and confidence needed for safe and enjoyable cycling, and consistently report cycling more often after taking a course.
HUB Cycling has three primary education programs: Bike to School, StreetWise and Bike Bus. Bike to School includes courses run in Metro Vancouver elementary and middle schools as well as across BC with the provincial Everyone Rides Grade 4-5 program. StreetWise includes online and in-person courses for the public as well as specialized courses for specific communities and workplaces. Bike Bus is a new program launching in April 2025.
About the Role
HUB Cycling seeks a Director of Bike Education to oversee these growing education programs. The Director of Bike Education is responsible for oversight, development, budgeting, evaluation, and reporting for HUB Cycling’s Bike Education programs.
The Director of Bike Education will report to the Executive Director, supervise 5 Program Managers, and manage a $2 million budget.

Terms of Employment
This is a full-time staff position (35 hours/week) with compensation of $70,750-$86,500 per year depending on experience. Alternative work schedules such as a four-day week are a potential.

All staff are expected to work remotely part-time. The successful candidate will need access to their own cell phone and a reliable home internet connection. Office space is available for up to three days a week at 312 Main Street, Vancouver. Staff must be reasonably available at least once per week for in-person meetings and events in Metro Vancouver.
