Position: Education Program Officer (Summer Job)
Type: age 30 & under / summer
Organization: EcoSchools Canada

Location: Remote or, if in the GTA, optional attendance at our office located at 720 Bathurst Street

  • Job Start Date: April 28, 2025
  • Term: 8-16 weeks
  • Hours Per Week: 35
  • Hourly Rate: $22-24/hour

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Board and District Program Manager, the Education Program Officer will work closely with the Programs Team to support the development and implementation of the EcoSchools Board and school-based programs and related projects. Tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Ecoschools certification assessment
  • Contributing to work to deepen the integration of curriculum connections from Canada’s 13 provinces/territories to EcoSchools actions
  • Contributing to research and development of national program expansion
  • Conducting a review of resources and implementing recommendations for updates and improvement
  • Contributing to the development of program resources
  • Providing administrative support to programs, projects, and partnerships
  • Supporting program data analysis and reporting
  • Responding to basic questions from schools and general inquiries
  • Working with the communications team on external messaging, website updates, and related tasks
  • Working closely with the programs team and perform other duties as assigned

Proficiency in French (oral and written communication) is an asset for this position.
