Positions: Summer Internships (four positions)
Employer: The Atmospheric Fund
Location: Hybrid, with two days a week in TAF’s Toronto office (at Union Station). We will consider fully remote work for the right candidate!

Are you passionate about tackling climate change and ready to launch your career in the low-carbon sector?

The Atmospheric Fund (TAF) is a regional climate agency that invests in and scales up low-carbon solutions for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. We collaborate with leaders across the private, public, and non-profit sectors to drive real impact through investments, grants, policy influence, and hands-on programs.

We’re looking for four smart, motivated interns to join our team this summer! This is your chance to work alongside climate experts, gain hands-on experience in an integrated work environment, and contribute meaningfully to TAF’s 2025 goals. Our interns take on focused projects while learning from different teams, making valuable connections, and helping to accelerate real solutions for a sustainable future.

These are all full time, paid positions, and are open to current students who need to complete internships as part of their coursework, but you don’t need to be a student to apply! Here's a peak at the four roles we’re recruiting for. Click the links to see the full postings and start your applications.

  • The Communications Specialist will help grow TAF’s network of climate allies and boost engagement on building retrofits in the GTHA. From digging into stakeholder research to fine-tuning our Salesforce contact lists, you’ll play a key role in making our outreach smarter and more effective
  • The Research & Innovation Junior Analyst will dive into the data behind climate action, helping quantify the carbon impact of TAF’s grants, investments, and programs. From updating our Carbon Emissions Inventory to researching emerging opportunities like EV-charging in grid-constrained areas, you’ll support evidence-based decision-making across the organization.
  • The Clean Electrification Junior Analyst will focus on expanding access to cleaner, more reliable electricity across the GTHA. You’ll dig into what’s holding back local solar and battery storage, help develop tools for homeowners, and research how cities can prepare their grids for more electric vehicles and clean energy.
  • The Climate Policy Junior Analyst will help shape policies that drive real emissions reductions while creating benefits like cleaner air, lower energy costs, and local jobs. You’ll research policy barriers, explore solutions for expanding heat pumps, solar, and EV charging, and support outreach to government officials.
