Position Summary
The Expedition Assistant: Youth Support will work alongside the Expedition Team to prepare students and staff for SOI’s 2025 expedition season. As an integral member of the Home Team at SOI Headquarters, this role will directly support youth as they prepare for the upcoming expedition season. This position requires excellent telephone and written communication skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and superior attention to detail.
This is a full-time contract position at the Students on Ice office in Gatineau, QC (in the Ottawa area). The role will begin with a minimum of three (3) days per week in office during the month of May, moving to five days per week in the office in June, July, and August.
Term: May 01 to August 31, 2025 (exact dates to be determined)
Hours: 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Work during evenings and weekends will be required.
The position will work alongside the Expedition Coordinator, and report directly to the Expedition Team Lead.
