Hiring: Housekeeping / Cleaner
Type: Part-time++ Seasonal variable days including weekends (30-38 hours per week) time of year dependent. Opportunity to add on other roles should there be a fit.
Accommodation: Lakeside Staff/Guide Cabins (shared, optional) if not local

Location: based out of Algonquin Park Access Pt #1, east of South River, Ontario.

The Housekeeper- Cleaner supports the needs of the Algonquin Log Cabin, the Algonquin Cottages, the Canoe Outpost Cabins, and the Algonquin VO Outfitter.

The Houskeeper-Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and preparing our off-the-grid spaces for our customers' pre/post-check-in and for seasonal deep cleans.

• Preparing fresh, clean guest spaces.
• Cleaning to standard a variety of space types: log cabin, mainland and island cottages, cabin and bunkhouse, outfitter, etc
• Can Include cleaning outdoor decks, gazebo, shower house/sauna, outhouses, composting toilets
• Cleaning outdoor bathroom/shower houses, outhouses, composting toilets
• Tracking and reporting damages, and/or improvements
• Ensuring our linens are promptly sent and received to and from the laundry service.
• Keeping our cleaning supplies and linens in stock and organized in our housekeeping areas.
• Updating and utilizing VQ housekeeping checklists
• Ability to track staff scheduling app and to follow Google calendar anticipating new bookings.
• Should candidates be qualified and interested - the scope of this role can be augmented with laundry, food preparation and meal service, customer check-ins, town runs, and general support activities can be added.

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently without compromising quality
• Enjoy working indoors and out.
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance

Qualifications:

• Requires completion of High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of two (2) years of considerable position-related experience
• Proven track record with housekeeping
• Strong organization, interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work within a small team.
• Must have an email and phone to communicate with the office.
• Must have a Drivers license and car to get to and from work.
• Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening)

Contract from: Seasonal or year-round opportunities available

Compensation: $22-$25/hour depending on experience

Accommodation: If not local - Lakeside shared guide/staff accommodation while working (optional). On your days-off you are welcome to stay or commute.

Contract length: 3-5 months

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Shifts: Day shifts, Holidays, Monday to Friday, Overtime, Weekends as needed
