The Opportunity

We are a dedicated group of climate advocates and policy experts preparing to launch a major national initiative designed to significantly move the needle on Canada's climate response. Our project is currently seeking and building a broad coalition of national partners.

We need a talented professional to transform our current WordPress site into a polished, authoritative, and high-performance platform that will command respect from media, policy-makers, and the public upon launch.

About the Coalition

This initiative is being driven by veteran organizers from ClimateFast, a volunteer-based organization with a proven track record of shifting climate policy in Toronto. Our previous work includes:

• Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty (now called the Fossil Fuel Treaty): Successfully advocated for the City of Toronto to become one of the first major global cities to endorse the treaty.
• TransformTO Advocacy: Played a key role in the consultations and funding campaigns for Toronto’s Net Zero Strategy.
• Civic Engagement: Developed the Climate Voting Records Toronto website and organized the Toronto Climate Film Festival.

We are now scaling our efforts to the national level and need a digital presence that matches the scale of our ambition.

The Role

We need an experienced WordPress designer/developer to:

• Refine Aesthetic: Elevate the design to look professional, trustworthy, and urgent.
• Optimize Layout: Ensure clear navigation for high-stakes "briefing" style content.
• Launch Readiness: Help with final technical polish, including mobile responsiveness and speed optimization.
• Discreet Collaboration: Work closely with our leadership team during this pre-launch phase.

Who You Are

• A WordPress Pro: You have a deep understanding of themes, plugins, and custom CSS.
• Mission-Driven: You want to use your tech skills for meaningful systemic change.
• Professional & Discreet: You are comfortable working on a high-visibility project that requires strict confidentiality prior to its public reveal.
