Position: Marketing & Social Media Intern
Organization: Furnish Forward
Location: remote in Vancouver BC / Lower Mainland
Commitment: 5-10 hours per week

Role Summary:

As a Marketing & Social Media Intern at Furnish Forward, you will play a key role in growing our online presence, engaging with our community, and driving awareness of our mission to create a more sustainable and circular economy. This position is ideal for university students and recent graduates specializing in marketing, business, or communications who are looking to gain real-world experience in the field.

Responsibilities:

• Social Media Management: Create and schedule engaging content across platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok to grow our audience.
• Content Creation: Develop captivating graphics, videos, and written posts to highlight our impact, events, and volunteer opportunities.
• Community Engagement: Interact with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster an active online community.
• Marketing Campaigns: Assist in developing and executing campaigns to increase brand awareness, donations, and volunteer sign-ups.
• Analytics & Strategy: Track and analyze social media performance metrics to optimize engagement and growth.
• Collaboration: Work with other volunteers and teams to align marketing efforts with events, fundraising, and community outreach.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary student or graduate in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
• Excellent writing skills and ability to craft engaging content
• Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
• Experience with video editing is a plus
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Passion for sustainability and community impact
