About Us

Science for All Audiences (SCIFAA) is a remote non-profit organization that aims to bridge the gap between scientists and the public through plain language communication. We offer trivia questions, blog posts, infographics, and research summaries free of charge and in all scientific disciplines.

Role Description

We are seeking individuals passionate about science communication to submit blog posts, infographics or research summaries to the SCIFAA website. Areas of focus include:

  • Conservation
  • Environmental science
  • Earth science
  • Climate change
  • Sustainability
  • Environmental chemistry.

Participants will choose a specific topic approved by the Program Coordinator. You will receive guidance throughout the submission and editing process and be expected to ensure your work follows the provided lay science communication training materials. Deadlines are highly flexible but participants must ensure that they notify the Program Coordinator if an extension is needed.

Requirements

  • This role is best suited for university students (or graduates) passionate about science communication efforts and looking to boost their CVs! We also welcome submissions from university clubs, professors, scientists, nonprofits, and other participants.
  • Participants should be pursuing or have completed a degree in a relevant science discipline (e.g., earth science, environmental science, chemistry, biology, etc).
  • Participants should have good written communication skills.
  • Experience using Canva or related software is required for infographics.
