Opportunity: Marketing & Growth Associate (Work Exchange)

Location: 300-420 West Hastings St, Vancouver, BC (Hybrid/Remote options available)

Time Commitment: 6 hours per week

We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing & Growth Associate to join our team and help amplify our voice, engage our community, and attract new members to our dynamic space.

Role Overview:

As a Marketing & Growth Associate, you will play a key role in supporting and developing the HiVE’s marketing and business development efforts as we look to welcome new members into our space. The role provides opportunities to get involved in various aspects of marketing, including campaigns, website improvement, partnerships, event planning, and online engagement. Additionally, this role provides direct access to the board of directors through regular meetings, with the opportunity to collaborate closely with them on strategic initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills to contribute to a meaningful organization, grow your work experience portfolio, and connect with a diverse and inspiring community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Content creation: Planning and writing blog posts regularly. This could be based on topics such as the history of the HiVE, upcoming events/activities, a profile of a member, or coworking in Vancouver.
• Promoting the HiVE on online forums: Posts on Reddit and other discussion platforms with ongoing discussion about coworking options in Vancouver.
• Search Engine Optimization: Updating the HiVE’s website content to make it more easily found by relevant internet users.
• Increasing inbound links to the HiVE’s website: Researching and updating online listings and negotiating reciprocal links with like minded websites.
• Digital Campaigns: Assist with digital marketing campaigns, from concept to execution, to engage existing members and attract new ones.
• Events: Develop and implement events aimed at raising the HiVE’s public profile and encouraging new memberships.
• Strategic Brainstorming: Collaborate with staff and board members to brainstorm and implement new marketing and business development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience working in or studying marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
• Comfortable conceptualizing and pitching ideas.
• Ability to work proactively and independently with limited supervision.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills.
