Are you passionate about fighting for sustainable and just communities? Do you want to help elect a true progressive representative in Ottawa? The Toronto Danforth Riding Association is looking for enthusiastic and committed volunteers to knock on doors to help elect Clare Hacksel as our next MP.

About Clare Hacksel and the Toronto-Danforth Riding Association

As a daughter of immigrant parents, Clare was born and raised in Toronto-Danforth, where she now raises her family. She is involved in her community, canvassing on issues like climate change, budget cuts to the TDSB, rising cost of living, and lack of affordable housing. Clare is running for MP because she understands the needs of everyday families struggling to make ends meet and is a fierce advocate for progressive values

The Toronto-Danforth NDP Riding Association represents Ontario's New Democrats and Canada's NDP within the riding. We're a local, grassroots, and volunteer-run organization that comes together as members to select our local NDP candidates, engage with community members about NDP policies and initiatives, and build our skills and resources to support our candidates in election campaigns successfully.

Volunteer Role

We are looking for volunteers to join Clare Hacksel in knocking on doors 1 – 2 times per week. Weekday shifts are typically from 5 – 8 p.m. and weekend shifts are from 2 – 5 p.m. Canvassing topics can include collecting signatures for petitions, and identifying key local issues and supporters.

Who Can Volunteer?

• No previous experience with canvassing is necessary.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and notify the canvass coordinator of any schedule changes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
• Comfortable working outdoors, regardless of weather conditions.
