Needed: Youth Sustainability Project Volunteers
Program: Remote Youth Support Program (a program of Eco-Internships)
Location: Remote & Hybrid positions. Youth applicants need to reside in the Atlantic/Maritimes OR Northern Territories of Canada.

Are you passionate about tackling climate change and shaping a sustainable future? The Remote Youth Support Program (RYSP) invites young leaders, ages 18-30, from Atlantic/Maritime and Northern Canada to join a transformative journey in environmental action!

About the Program: RYSP is a national initiative by Eco-Internships, dedicated to empowering youth in rural and remote regions by connecting them with the environmental non-profit sector. Participants gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and career-boosting training while making a real difference in their communities. Your Role: As a volunteer, you’ll:

  • Develop and Lead Community Climate Projects: Address local environmental challenges through impactful initiatives. Plan, implement, and share your story in our Sustainable Stories: Local Actions, National Change column.
  • Participate in Tailored Training: Access online and live sessions on non-profit basics, communications, leadership, grant writing, and more.
  • Connect and Collaborate: Network with like-minded peers and professionals passionate about environmental change.
  • Mentorship Support: Work with youth mentors who have firsthand experience in environmental work.

Eligibility:

  • Ages 18-30.
  • Reside in the Atlantic/Maritimes or Northern Territories of Canada.
  • Committed to environmental action and eager to contribute to the non-profit sector.
  • Availability for a project between January - April 2025.
