We are currently accepting applications for onsite animal care volunteer positions.
Needed: Wildlife Animal Care Onsite Volunteer
Organization: Heaven's Wildlife Rescue Rehabiliation & Education Centre
Location: Oil Springs, near Sarnia, Ontario
Housing: free-of-charge onsite accommodations (see below)
Animal Care Volunteers:
Our volunteers learn a variety of wildlife rehabilitation skills and techniques. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: patient admissions, assisting with species examinations, species-specific diet preparations, feeding orphaned babies, gavage feeding, indoor cage and outdoor enclosure cleaning, medication administration, wound management, and assisting with turtle egg harvesting and incubating. (depending on admissions) grounds maintenance such as grass cutting, weed wiping, painting, cleaning, dishes, laundry
The wildlife we rehabilitate are:
Raccoon, fox, bat, skunk, squirrel, opossum, mink, weasel, flying squirrel, cottontail, groundhog, chipmunk, muskrat, coyote, turtles, etc.
Accommodations:
We provide free-of-charge onsite accommodations in a shared house with other volunteers, you will have access to kitchen, bathroom, and laundry facilities. WiFi is also available. Please state on your application whether or not you would like to be considered for accommodations.
