About the Role

We’re looking for a Field Manager who’s spent a few seasons on a farm, knows their way around crops, and is ready to take the lead in the field. You’ll be keeping an eye on crop health, sticking to planting and seeding schedules, and helping the team get things done efficiently. • Monitor crops for health, pests, and growth progress
  • Keep planting, seeding, and transplanting schedules on track
  • Manage and maintain irrigation systems, including timers, hoses, and drip lines
  • Help with soil amendments, fertility programs, and soil tests alongside the owners
  • Participate in harvest and post-harvest processing, including bunching, wrapping, and packing, when needed
  • Identify problems and suggest solutions to keep the farm running smoothly

Requirements

  • Several seasons of farm experience, flowers preferred (vegetable or other small-scale production also welcome), or a strong drive to learn about flower farm crop management, irrigation systems, and soil health
  • Strong understanding of crop monitoring, irrigation, and soil health, or willingness to learn quickly
  • Able to lead and motivate a team
  • Comfortable with physical outdoor work in all weather, including heat, rain, repetitive tasks, and lifting 40+ lbs
  • Enjoys problem-solving, working collaboratively, and keeping team energy positive
