Hiring: Landscape Gardener

Location: Toronto, Ontario
Salary: $30/hr after 5 days of probation - $27/hr during probation.

Hiring one full-time & one part-time position

DESCRIPTION

• Salary: $30/hr after 5 days of probation. $27/hr during probation.
• We garden using native pollinator plants as much as possible, no fossil fuel power tools, no chemical pesticides.
• Most job sites are south of St Clair, Landsdowne to DVP. You will need to transport to job sites, bicycle encouraged. 
• Owner bicycles to job sites towing a landscaping trailer with tools. Vehicle used for out-of-area jobs.

• You’ll be gardening part of a small team & sometimes alone.
• Owner endeavours to create a relaxed work environment where your opinions & ideas are respected.
• Flexibility to your schedule when possible.

REQUIREMENTS

• One to two years professional gardening experience
• Good ability identifying plants, weeds, shrubs, etc.
• Proficiency using hand & battery powered tools
• Good pruning skills 
• Good knowledge of natives plants & invasive species 
• Must enjoy gardening outdoors regardless of weather
• Reliability & punctuality is mandatory

Job Type: Seasonal

Contract length: 5-6 months

Pay:

• $30.00 per hour
• Performance & end of season bonuses
