Mission Statement

At Hybrid Work Canada, we believe the future of work must be sustainable, equitable, and localized.

Our mission is to advocate for permanent remote and hybrid work policies that eliminate the ecological and economic strain of the forced daily commute.

By shifting away from mandatory office presence, we actively reduce greenhouse gas emissions, curtail the massive volume of tire microplastic leakage eroding our waterways, and eliminate the broader environmental degradation caused by urban congestion and sprawling infrastructure. We champion worker-centric frameworks to protect our planet, support families, and keep economic opportunities thriving in every Canadian community.

Role Overview

We are seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Outreach Volunteers to champion the ongoing House of Commons Petition E-7142. 

This federal petition calls for amendments to the Canada Labour Code to protect the remote work rights of computer-based workers across the country. As an Outreach Volunteer, you will be the voice of our campaign, engaging directly with citizens to build momentum, raise awareness, and collect vital support before the petition closes.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive awareness across social media platforms (Reddit, Facebook, LinkedIn, X) by sharing educational content, engaging in discussions, and distributing the petition link.
• Conduct in-person, door-to-door knocking campaigns within your neighborhood to speak directly with residents about the environmental and financial benefits of protecting remote work.
• Handle local pamphlet delivery to households, community hubs, and public boards to inform community members about Petition E-7142.
• Answer basic questions from the public regarding the petition goals, helping citizens understand how federal labor updates protect their work-life balance and local environment.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor for public interaction.
• A deep interest in environmental sustainability, labor rights, or community economic development.
• Reliability and the ability to work independently during door-to-door or pamphlet delivery shifts.
• Active presence on major social media platforms is an asset but not required.
