Organization: Yard Garden Harvest Project - Little Mountain Neighbourhood House
Location: Little Mountain/Riley Park, Vancouver, BC

The Yard Gardens is a community food security project of Little Mountain Neighbourhood House. We are a group of dedicated volunteers and one coordinator who grow food in yards generously shared by Riley Park neighbours. Our Produce supplements food from the Vancouver Food Bank, local farmers and businesses in Little Mountain's Food Distribution program that serves individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. The YGHP is rooted in deepening connections by engaging with landowners and volunteers while growing food in a way that benefits the soil, the pollinators, and our community!

Our Mission: To create a connected and empowered neighbourhood by growing and providing fresh, nutritious food to those who face food insecurity in our community.

Join Us: We welcome all ages and offer volunteering positions ranging from short garden shifts to long-term leadership roles from April through October. If you are interested in volunteering, donating, or have questions, please contact us at: ygc@lmnhs.bc.ca
